Courtney and Entertainment Plus at Wandin Horse Trials in March
Courtney Fraser, winner of the EvA95 at Albury International Horse Trials, has been involved in a road accident killing her two horses on her way home from the event. We understand that a truck jack knifed on a road near Yarra Glen, hitting Courtney’s car and float as well as another car. The driver of the other car was killed while Courtney and her passenger and friend, Emma Booth sustained injuries; both are in hospital and Courtney is undergoing surgery today for a knee injury.
Courtney, who has recently recovered from a broken pelvis, had stayed at Albury for the presentation following her win in the EvA95 class riding Entertainment Plus before driving home. The accident occurred near Yarra Glen, not too far from her home in Macclesfield where Courtney lives with her boyfriend.
Tragically both of Courtney’s horses in the float, Perfect Match and Entertainment Plus were killed. Courtney’s dog was also in the car but survived the crash and is fine. Words can’t really express how awful it must be to lose your two horses in this way but we send our deepest sympathies to Courtney on her loss and best wishes for a speedy recovery to both girls.
