Corinna Huskinson and War Hawk
War Hawk, a seven year old eventing horse was recently bought for Stuart to campaign over the next four years with a view to reach the next Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Corinna and Darren Huskinson contacted Stuart and Karen after watching the Olympics in London and became inspired to own a horse with the potential for elite level eventing and the possibility of representing Australia.
Corinna said ‘I watched the Games and became addicted to seeing our Australian eventers ride. They are amazing sports people and I love the unity between horse and rider. I wondered how I could be involved - the next thing I knew my husband and I were meeting with Stuart and Karen wanting to buy a horse! We all hope to have a great time with War Hawk (Raffles) and I am looking forward to his first competition here in Australia’
Bought from Black Hawk Farm in New Zealand War Hawk arrived this week in Australia and his first start is expected to be at Silver Hills in NSW on the 3rdand 4th November
Stuart is building his International team with Tim Games’ Panamera, John and Jane Pittard’s Pluto Mio plus the up and coming horse Sydney owned by the Tinneys. There are also exciting prospects for the young horse Annapurna, also owned the Pittards and now the new addition War Hawk.
‘We are very excited to have new owners on board. Corinna, a horse lover herself chose to own a horse with her husband Darren for the purpose of watching her horse at competitions and be involved with Tinney Eventing (TE). We all hope that War Hawk will succeed to top level in eventing’ said Stuart
