Emma Mason’s ‘angry’ horse may not have been willing to have his temperature taken in the cool down after the cross country at the Australian International 3 Day Event but he came up trumps overall in the Horseland CCI2*
Emma’s nine year old thoroughbred gelding Currabeha started ninth in the dressage, added only 0.4 time penalties on the cross country and jumped a classy clear on Sunday to finish in fourth place overall and take the Thoroughbred Racing SA Prize for the highest placed off the track thoroughbred
We talked to Emma on cross country day and then on show jumping day we couldn’t help not only congratulate her but also make comment on her new diamante encrusted jacket which she says had attracted plenty of comments during the event!
Although Emma says she had jelly legs from nerves on show jumping day, the round looked pretty good to us as you can see in the video below
