Oceania Eventing Championships 2022 at Melbourne International 3DE - Australian Senior Team winners Shane Rose, Jess Rae, Lauren Browne and Sam Jeffree

The Senior and Young Rider Oceania Teams Championship will be back in 2024 and run as part of the Land Rover Horse of the Year Show in New Zealand from 8th – 10th March 2024

The Oceania Eventing Championships will comprise one Senior team and one Young Rider team from both Australia and New Zealand battling it out for Trans-Tasman honours.  The Teams event will be run as part of the Land Rover Horse of the Year Show Eventing, in the CCI3*-S format for Young Riders and CCI4*-S format for Seniors.

The teams will comprise four (4) horse and rider combinations, with the best three (3) scores counting for the final team classification. The combinations will also compete as individuals.

The Oceania Championships normally runs every two years and was scheduled to run the Land Rover Horse of the Year Show in New Zealand from 7th – 12th March 2023 but had to be postponed following Cyclone Gabrielle’s devastation of the area.

The last Oceania Championship took place as part of the Melbourne International 3 Day Event in 2022, when Australia won the 2022 Senior Team Championship and New Zealand claimed the 2022 Young Rider Championship. This replaced the 2021 Championships, which did not run due to the Covid pandemic.
