Abby Lawrence and Pseudonym - winners at Kihikihi
New Zealand rider Abby Lawrence, who was one of three international competitors to compete at this year’s Australian International 3 Day Event, has sadly had to withdraw
The pair has had a very good season until this set back, winning the CIC3* at Kihikihi in April and fifth in the CCI3* at Taupo in May where she was part of the New Zealand team in the Oceania Senior Teams Competition.
Abby and her 17 year old black warmblood gelding were meant to leave New Zealand on 11th November but a minor injury has meant they have opted not to make the trip
“Pseudonym picked up a minor injury which we are working to resolve. His happiness and wellbeing will always be first and foremost - all efforts are being made to get him back to 100%”says Abby
“I doubt that at 17 years old Pseudonym will ever get the opportunity to get to 4* now, but I have another very capable 3* ride, a thoroughbred mare, Song. I got the ride on her at the end of last year, so if I can pull off the dream run with her over the 12 months she will be aimed at Adelaide next year”
Hope to see you and Song here in 2015 Abby
