Australia and New Zealand Strong in FEI HSBC Rankings

The latest FEI HSBC rankings dated 1st June has seven Australian eventing riders in the top 20.

Stuart Tinney is the highest ranked in 6th place down from 5th , Shane Rose in 8th place up from 10th , Chris Burton makes a massive leap to 9th from 52nd , Clayton Fredericks in 10th down from 4th , Megan Jones in 13th from 15th, Emma Scott in 15th from 14th previously and Emma Mason 20th from 11th.

Australians in the top 50 are;

Christine Bates (23rd)

Bill Levett (28th – another big leap up from 93rd)

Tim Boland (38th)

Sonja Johnson (40th)

Lucinda Fredericks (47th)

William Fox-Pitt (GBR) leads the rankings on 564 points from Andrew Nicholson (NZ) on 515 points. Boyd Martin is in third place on 420, young Jock Paget from New Zealand is fourth with 377 and Phillip Dutton fifth on 351. Interesting that over half (11) of the top 20 have originally come from New Zealand or Australia ............ must be something in the water
