This year’s Sydney International Horse Trials, to be held from 29th April to 1st May, will have an expanded eventing programme with CIC classes as well as the usual CCI and an EvA105 national class for those not quite at international level
CIC1*, 2* and 3* classes have been added to the schedule for the eventing riders and spectators will be able to watch all the action, including the cross country, on a big screen. The really good news for spectators is that general admission and parking is free this year but for those looking for something a little special, there is still the option of the VIP marquee with new and improved hospitality while children will be able to enjoy the popular “Kids Zone” with a petting zoo, jumping castle and face painting.
Other feature events will include the popular Young Event Horse classes for 4, 5 and 6 year old horses and the Show Jumping will again offer a full schedule of young horse classes and height classes including the thrilling World Cup Qualifier to be held in the main arena on Sunday afternoon.
With the 2016 Rio Olympic Games just around the corner, the venue that hosted the equestrian events for Sydney 2000 will welcome top international Ground Jury members Christoph Hess, Christian Landolt and Sue Baxter.
