The Aachen CHIO website has some really cool little visual aids and one of them is the Panorama-Tour.
Click on the link below which will take you to a 360 degree panoramic view of the grounds that you can navigate around using the buttons at the bottom of the screen. You can move from one area to another by clicking on any of the round white moving navigation pointers on the screen – when you put your cursor on them they will say what the view is i.e. CHIO-Village shows you around the trade village.
From the Fahrstadion you can get to view the cross country course – look for Gelanderstrecke Rolex-Komplex and from here you can get to a view of the Water Complex. Check out the stables (Stallungen) and individual stables (Stall), Aachen-Lounge and Champions-Circle (very chic), NetAachen-Tribune (Main Stadium) and the views of the arena from each stand, the Richterturm where commentary guys hang out, the Deutsche Bank stadium where the eventing dressage will be held and pretty much every area of the grounds!
If you’ve been to Aachen this will really bring back memories and if you haven’t, you’re in for a great view of the place. Be warned – it is addictive (and slightly sick making if you scroll too fast!) so you could be there for a while
