Harry, who suffered a fall last year, had only just started riding again a few days befor the arrival of Charlie
... we don't think he will forget January 2014 in a hurry
We all know that event riders have to tough, brave and ready to adapt to various situations. Yesterday it looks like Harry Meade put those skills into practice when he was called upon to be the delivery team when his wife, Rosie, went into labour and it was soon clear that the couple had no time to get to hospital.
A little later in the day Harry sent out a Tweet saying:
Called 999 this am, the words “you’re going to have to deliver the baby yourself” wasn’t expected response! Delighted mum & babe are fine!
Congratulations to Harry and Rosie on the safe and quick arrival of Charlie a little brother to Lily (age 2).
One of our new bloggers, Ben Leahy from WA, has recently arrived at the Meade’s yard with his horse Le Directeur, so we can look forward to hearing more about the new baby boy in Ben’s first blog … coming soon!
