Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire is once again hosting the prestigious International Youth Eventing Championships, taking place this year from 26th – 30th July.
The best youth athletes from across the UK at CCI2*, PT105, and BE100 level have converged on the venue with the Opening Ceremony having taken place on Wednesday and the action ready to start on Thursday with dressage for the CCI2* Junior and Young Rider and BE100 Open U18 and U21 competitors.
On Saturday the Pony Trial 105 competitors join in the fun, doing all three phases of their competition on the one day (although they still have to present at the Second Horse Inspection on Sunday to complete) while the CCI2* and BE100 head out on the Joe Weller designed cross country course across the undulating parkland.
Showjumping takes place for the CCI2* and BE100 classes on Sunday after the second horse inspection and then we shall know which individuals and teams have been crowned as this year’s champions!
