The friendly event offering it all – BE classes, Unaffiliated and cross country schooling – starts this weekend at Shelford Manor (2) Horse Trials

For anyone needing a little breather between Championships and 5* events, the Agria Equine Lifetime Shelford Manor (2) Horse Trials is the perfect antidote.

Bede Events is running two days of British Eventing competition on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th followed by a Day of Unaffiliated competition on Monday 28th. It is a friendly, relaxed event set on Bede Events home turf at Shelford Manor in Nottinghamshire, providing a great run for the lower levels.

Which doesn’t mean to say you don’t get top riders here; European Champion is a regular here but is busy at Blair Castle this weekend however the Netherlands’ Andrew Heffernan, who helped secure a Paris 2024 Olympic berth for his country as part of the team and Chef d’Equipe at the recent Europeans, has two horses in the Open Novice, competing against the likes of FEI Rising Star Alice Casburn, Heidi Coy and Emily King.

Other UK-based international riders are also competing, such as Morocco’s Noor Slaoui, New Zealand’s James Avery and Brazil’s Carlos Parro in the Novice classes, which will run on Saturday alongside the BE100.

Sunday sees more BE100 classes plus BE80 and BE90 while the Unaffiliated classes, including Pony Club at 80cm, 90cm and 100cm will run on Monday.  You even get a chance on the morning of Tuesday 29th to school round the Shelford BE fences for just £30 (cash on the day)

We’ll see you there!
