About Us

The website An Eventful Life originally started in 2010 to promote the book An Eventful Life – Life Stories of Eventing Champions, written by Alison Duthie and published by Debbie Higgs.

Since then, our online resource has developed and grown and is now dedicated to bringing the sport of eventing from around the world to you, wherever you are.

Event Coverage

We bring you coverage all of the major eventing competitions, including the Olympic Games and World Championships, the FEI flagship CCI5* events and Championships plus the Nations Cup Series and individual international events throughout the world.

Simply hover on Events in the Main Menu to choose the event coverage you want. You can also choose your event coverage by region, going straight to the news you want first.

As well as written articles by some of the best in the business, our coverage includes video and audio interviews with those ‘in the know’.

Cross Country Videos

An Eventful Life is the home of Cross Country Videos. Since 2016 we have been filming competitors on cross country courses in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, becoming the best-known international supplier of cross country videos to riders around the world. 

We have filmed over 120,000 eventing competitors at over 250 events in Australia, New Zealand and the UK from 5* level (Burghley and the Australian International 3 Day Event) to grassroots and uploaded over 19,000 videos to An Eventful Life, creating one of the most significant libraries of eventing footage available.
