Stuart Tinney was very pleased to see his big grey horse Vettori (Kiwi) arrive at Kentucky Horse Park on Friday. After several days travelling (the horses had to fly from Sydney to Hong Kong and Alaska) before spending 3 days in quarantine in LA, then flying from LA to Cincinnati and a truck ride to Lexington, Kiwi was feeling very fresh and bounded off the truck! Kiwi's groom Amy McGregor settled him into his stable and in the next few days he'll be walked in hand and then light exercise to get him back in the groove but at this stage he is looking really well and ready for action! There were a few problems with some of the luggage going astray ( jumping saddles included which are a bit essential!) but they were recovered after a little while and everyone could breathe a sigh of relief. It is still pretty hot over there apparantly too so I am now reconsidering my packing!
