New Zealand’s Lucy Turner and her horse Carbon may not be very big in size but they pack a punch above their weight. Lucy and Carbon have made the trip across from New Zealand as part of the Kiwi contingent and are the only combination flying their flag in the CCI2* at the Mitsubishi Motors Australian International 3 Day Event
Lucy comes to Adelaide as the current New Zealand National Young Rider Champion, earned at Christchurch in October where she won not only the Young Rider title but also the overall CCI2* class
She had won the same Young Rider Championship two years before at Puhinui International 3 Day Event in Auckland, with both titles taken on Carbon, a horse she has been riding for four years who has ‘the biggest heart’
They are currently in 16th place with a score of 36, which Lucy was a little bit disappointed with, but she admits she is pretty hard on herself, setting high standards!
