The 2021 Sydney International Three Day Event is now officially underway following the McCarolls’s RAM Trucks Trot Up (first horse inspection)
Horses in the long format classes at the Sydney International Three Day Event were presented under stormy skies at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, the legacy venue of the Sydney 2020 Olympic Games, and all were accepted
Two horses were withdrawn before the competition with Heath Ryan’s Bronze Boy R and Megan Jones’ Kirby Park Impress not making an appearance, leaving seven combinations in the Kohnke’s Own CCI4*-L
Megan Jones did present her horse Toulanda in the Ceva CCI3*-L, which saw 15 combinations present to the Ground Jury and pass, and the Bates Saddles CCI2*-L has also 15 combinations starting the dressage phase.
All classes, including the other highlight class of the event, the Ariat CCN4*-S (the ‘Olympic Special’ class) take to the dressage arenas tomorrow with all cross country on Saturday and show jumping on Sunday.
