Eventing @ Willinga Park in NSW, Australia has been dealt another blow with the recent heavy rainfall and forecast for more rain forcing the event organisers to postpone
“Due to the amount of rainfall over the last few weeks, and the rainfall forecast, we are unable to get onto the grounds to start preparing the cross country track. In the interests of rider safety, postponing the event is only option at this stage” says Event Director, Sophie Adams
The purpose-built facility at Willinga Park on the Southern Coast of NSW, which is the Australian base of triple CCI5* winners Hazel Shannon and Willingapark Clifford, was originally to have run its inaugural CCI4* event in 2020, replacing the long-standing Lynton Horse Trials at Goulburn, but Covid restrictions prevented it running in 2020 and 2021.
A Test Event was successfully held in January 2022 at CCI2* level in preparation for the big event to be held from 26th – 28th April
Eventing @ Willinga, featuring classes from CCN1* to CCI4*-S, will now be held from 26-28thAugust 2022
