Do you know where our favourite cross country obstacle is located? Maybe the Cottesmore Leap at Burghley or the Vicarage Vee at Badminton? Nope, it’s the very cute Corridor at Candlebark Horse Trials (see it in our video below)
The Victorian event venue in the Macedon Ranges that hosts both Pony Club and Equestrian Victoria horse trials on the Clarke family property at Riddells Creek has a cross country course designed and built by Mick Pineo and Will Faulkes and, with recent upgrades to the course, we hope that the Corridor is still there!
200 combinations will be gathering this weekend at Candlebark to take part in classes from EvA80 to CCN2*. The Young Rider and Junior Championships are once again held as part of the 2* and 1* classes, but this year there are also Junior/Young Rider Championships on offer at each level.
The dressage and showjumping takes place for all classes on Saturday with cross country on Sunday, with the exception of the showjumping for the EvA80 which is also on Sunday.
