Sydney International 3DE 2021 - order or view videos here
The Sydney International Three Day Event is back in 2021 and it is going to be a bumper year!
The cancelled event in 2020 would have been the 20th Anniversary of Australia winning gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games but sadly Covid-19 prevented Sydney 3DE 2020 from running.
However, the event is back, running from May 6th – 9th at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre and there will be plenty of Olympic action still on offer with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games looming. This is an important selection event for Australian-based competitors and we understand that there will be also be Kiwi Tokyo-hopefuls with some of our friends from across the water in New Zealand joining us – more on that soon …..
The entries are now open for the event which, as well as hosting a CCI4*-L and CCI4*-S will also feature a special ‘CCN4.5*-L Tokyo’ class, incorporating the Olympic Games dressage test, the CCI4*-L cross country and 1.30m show jumping. Expect to see some elite level action from this class which, along with all other classes, will have dressage on Friday 7th May, cross country on Saturday 8th May and show jumping on Sunday 9th May
But it isn’t just about the big guns as Sydney International is also hosting national classes from 60cm to CCN1* as well as both long and short format CCI classes at 2*, 3* and 4* level plus Young Event Horse classes.
It is going to be a very busy few days and there will be LOTS of cross country action with two courses running on Sunday; one for the star classes and new courses for the National classes which will incorporate some areas of Sydney 2000 Olympic course (our team is certainly going to busy on cross country day!)
We will be providing full coverage each day during the event and keeping you up to date with entry lists and lots more about the event over the next few weeks.
Sydney International also has a fabulous new website where you can find information about classes, entries and much more plus of course you can ENTER the event on Nominate
