With the 2017 NSW State Eventing Championships coming up soon at Scone on 4th and 5th March, another important NSW eventing competition is set to be the venue for the 2017 and 2018 Australian National Eventing Championships
In the few years that it has been running, Camden Equestriad has fast become the biggest event in Australia with well over 600 competitors at each of its two events in April and September. In 2017 the April event which holds CIC3*,CIC2*,CIC1*, EvA105, EvA95, EvA80 and EvA60 classes will also be the host for the Australian National Championships
The event which takes place at Bicentennial Park in Camden, NSW is a family friendly affair with free activities such as face painting, a jumping castle and petting zoo. On Saturday the CIC2* and CIC3* showjumping under lights is a popular way to spend the evening while enjoying catering by Pheasants Nest Produce and the very handily located bar.
Shane Rose, the man behind the event that can usually be found riding 10 horses and doing 10 other jobs as well, will have an even bigger task this year. Not only is Equestriad hosting the Australian Eventing Championships but Shane also needs to be on a plane to the UK that Sunday night to prepare for Badminton just two weeks later. More about that coming up soon ........
