And that's after riding in them! Eliza's snappy boots
The An Eventful Life EvA95B class at the Randwick Equine Centre Sydney Eventing Summer Classic is getting a bit of special attention this weekend as we are the sponsor of the class! On Saturday morning the riders did their dressage and we caught up with two of them after their tests
Eliza Mylon’s boots first caught our eye as she circled the arena and she admitted afterwards to having a bit of a dressage bent but the lovely Revelwood Summer Hit persuaded her to return to eventing
“She didn’t really have it for dressage but she can certainly jump so I decided, that’s it, let’s go eventing!”
Eliza and Summer were in 13th place after the dressage as they head into cross country this afternoon and complete with show jumping tomorrow
Lauren and Valerius Scipio
Valerius Scipio is another eventing horse in this class with a dressage background. Ridden by Lauren McIntosh from Canberra, the eight year old grey warmblood by Sir Donnerhall was in seventh place (32.40) after the first phase and Lauren is hoping for a confidence boosting cross country ride this afternoon before they step up to EvA105
The leader after the dressage is (maybe not surprisingly) the gorgeous Diablito who has competed here many times at higher levels and has always been a bit of a dressage star. Now ridden by Kim Cole they lead this class on a fabulous score of 23.20, giving them several points in hand over equal second placed Sarah McVicker on Laird of Lallybroch and Diablito’s owner, Judy Clark on Uka, both on 31 penalties
