An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at
NSW State Championships at Lynton, Goulburn - find out more here
The NSW State Eventing Championships are taking place this weekend at Lynton Horse Trials in Goulburn, AUS and sadly this is likely to be the last ever Lynton event
“In the past two years the entry numbers have been drastically down” says Geordie Kennedy who organises the event with her husband Neil “We’ve done everything we can and this year we’ve had the added problem of shoulder surgery for both of us so we’re thinking that, after 30 years of running the event, it’s time to call it a day”
Between them they have one good arm but the show must go on! Georgie and Neil Kennedy prepare for the event at Goulburn

With the reduced entries, no dressage will place on Friday, as it normally does, and the entire event will run on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October. The cross country will all take place on Sunday (one rider, Pakistan’s Usman Khan will run cross country on Saturday as the sole competitor in the CCI4*-L which is being put on to try and help him gain qualification for the Olympic Games) with the Willingapark CCI4*-S taking place around lunchtime
Ironically, while are down across the board, the numbers in the EvA95 Junior are up with 18 young riders scheduled to take part.
So let’s make the last Lynton a good one - come along to what could be the last ever Horse Trials run at Lynton Estate to celebrate its 30 years of eventing history and watch some of the best in the country compete as well as what may be our future Olympians
