Heath Ryan’s buckskin gelding Bronze Boy R finally got all his ducks in a row at Quirindi Eventing CCN One Day Event to win the Boonoona Design CCN4*-S

The pair has led the 4* several times after dressage in recent times, but it all came together for Heath and the 11-year-old gelding at Quirindi on Sunday, jumping clear around the show jumping track with just 0.4 time penalties and the fastest time on cross country with 11.2 time penalties.

They took the win on a score of 38 after leading the dressage on a very good score of 26.4, finishing several penalties ahead of second placed Gordon Bishop riding Advantage Hill (45.8) and Emma Mason riding KPH Kingfisher (49.6)

Olivia Barton riding APH Sodoku also started with a good dressage score of 29.2 in the Bundella Station CCN3*, which helped her finish on top of the class despite a few time penalties. Deon Stokes’ thoroughbred Fantastik Mr Fox and Hamish Cargill’s French Evening both had faster cross country times but had to settle for second and third places

Georgia Van Der Drift riding Lethal Addiction LDE and Gemma Tinney riding PHS Hilton both finished on the same score of 26.70 in the Quirindi Plumbing CCN2* and both ladies incurred 0.4 time penalties. But the time penalties were in the show jumping for Georgia, who jumped double clear around cross country, while Gemma added 0.4 time on cross country, giving Georgia the win.

Lauren Browne riding Black Symphony and Christine Bates riding Bloomfield Findon won the two Marsh Carney Saddlery CCN1* sections with both combinations finishing on their dressage scores.
