The Victorian town of Mansfield, in the foothills of the Victorian Alps, is synonymous with the high country and the well-known story of The Man From Snowy River.
Not surprisingly then, it is a popular spot for those who love eventing. And this weekend it is all happening at the Mansfield Pony Club where riders of all ages are taking part in the Mansfield Pony Club and Open Horse Trials 2024
Five classes of Pony Club from Grades 1 – 5, including Qualifiers for the State Horse Trials and Grade 1 -5 Open Horse Trials are taking place at the Mansfield Showground on 13th and 14th April 2024. Dressage and much of the showjumping take place on Saturday with all competitors heading out on cross country on Sunday.
Molly Lines, the recent winner of the CCI4* at Wandin International and highest placed member of the Australian Young Rider team at Horse of the Year Oceania Championships is local to the area and will be talking about her experiences at the Saturday evening dinner which also hosts the Mansfield Pony Club Fundraising Auction
We’re filming all competitors on cross country and looking forward to some fabulous footage featuring many budding Men and Women From Snowy River!
