It wasn't all about the FEI International Eventing classes at the Motoroma CCI One Day Event 2023 presented by the Tamborine Equestrian Group in Queensland, Australia on 18th & 19th February 2023.
In addition to the CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S and CCI2*-S there were national classes running from EvQ65 to EvA95 and a CCN1*. The six classes winners from EvA65 to EvA90 received a cross country video by An Eventful Life, giving us all the perfect chance to watch their winning rides and see how the courses looked at Tamborine
West Vets EvA95 | Senior
West Vets EvA95 Senior was won by Leanne Le Claire riding Ashbend Bwitched, a 12-year-old chestnut gelding that moved into the lead of the class on cross country day with a clear round to finish on a score of 39.3 ahead of Sarah Webster riding Arion Chiaura (42.4) and Katelyn Simpson riding Tiraumea Sportsman (42.4)
Euro Float EvA95 | U21 (see video at top of page)
Zara Wyatt’s Lincolnfield Latte (better known as Jack) put in a top performance at his first ever EvA95 to win the class. Zara and Lincolnfield Latte finished on their dressage score of 36.3 ahead of Claudia Wyatt riding Bradyvale Illusion (37.8) and Maddison Herd riding Foxhill Kaypers (38.7)
National Luxury Homes EvA 80 | Senior
Courtney Foster riding Beat It Buster beat them all in the National Luxury Homes EvA 80 on a score of 33.5 ahead of Isabella Wilkinson-Mcintyre riding Casall Cupid (34.1) and Jo Morris riding Grantali Touche (34.4)
Story Bridge Hotel EvA 80 | U21
Bethany Williams riding Rockview Rogue Trader took out the U21 section of this class with a score of 31.6 with Karina Reeve-Johnson riding Padme in second place (31.9) and Pippa Lowson riding Mallory Square in third (33.1)
Aitkens Saddlery EvQ65 | Senior
Emma West not only won the CCI2*-S on board Knight Thyme but also won the Aitkens Saddlery EvQ65 riding Cider on their dressage score of 36.3. Mandy Radecker riding Enterprise Jack took second place (41.9) and Lachlan Cameron riding Millie finished in third (42.7)
The Brave Pants Company EvQ65 | Under 21
It was a close thing in the Brave Pants Company EvQ65 U21 but Willa Boersma and Burrowa Gryff’s score of 30 put them just in front of second placed Maddison Herd riding Cwmkaren Duke (30.3), who added a few time penalties on cross country to give Willa the win with a double clear round. Lydia Teague riding Timeless Limited Edition took third place on 39.1
