An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at Equestriad – find out more here
Olivia Barton has taken her second CCI4* of 2023, this time winning the CC4*-S at Equestriad CCI
Olivia, who won the CCI4*-L at Melbourne International 3 Day Event in June on Hollyander HG, showed she has depth in her team by taking the win this time on Henrik APH. They led from start to finish, completing on a score of 28.7, a massive 21 penalties clear of second placed Andrew Barnett riding Go Tosca (49.7) and third placed Emma Mason on KPH Kingfisher (53.4)
Note: Scoring later updated to show 11.2 time faults on cross country for Olivia, still taking the win on a final score of 39.90
Eventing lawyer Emma Mason did go home with a rug however, taking the CCI3*-S on board Warrego Marco Polo while Shane Rose, who heads the organising committee at Equestriad and is always a busy man, won the CCI2*-S on Holy Moses after jumping up the leaderboard with two double clear jumping rounds from 11th after dressage.
We’ll be back with a full wrap up from Equestriad very soon!
