Reese Spencer-Ruddy
What do you do the day after a career highlight when you're just eight years old? Reese Spencer-Ruddy, winner of the EvA60 Mini class on Saturday took a walk around the famous big fences at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre where the Olympic Games were held before she was even born
Along with her mum, the well known coach and rider Sharmayne Spencer, and her grand-parents and cousins, Reese was inspecting the big fences that maybe she will be jumping in years to come
The day before she had the won the class known as the EvA60 Mini (for riders under 13) riding Langtree Debutante (Sophie), leading from the start and finishing on their dressage score of 51.30, just ahead of Tess Mason riding Ginny (51.90) and Ella Cullen riding Texan Rose (56.60).
It was a day of ups and downs with the weather causing various hold-ups due to thunderstorms but Reese simply took it all in her stride with a bit of help from mum, who is her coach 'when she listens'!
