Interschools Horse Extravaganza (ISHE) - XC Videos here
The Interschools Horse Extravaganza (ISHE) wrapped up after on 21st October after five full days of competition across multiple disciplines, including sausage dog racing!
Held at the Australian Equine and Livestock Centre in Tamworth, NSW, the eventing competitors were the first cab off the ranks, with their competition starting on Thursday 17th October with dressage for the EvA80 (for Primary and Secondary students), EvA95 (Secondary) and CCN1* (Secondary 13+ years) levels.
It was a tightly fought battle for first and second places throughout the CCN1* with Liam MacKenzie-Smith and Lydia Proctor going head to head all the way, with both riders competing on board Sandhills horses produced by Prue and Craig Barrett.
Liam riding the 11-year-old gelding Sandhills Invader started in the lead after dressage on a score of 31.40 with Lydia riding the 15-year-old gelding Sandhills Style just behind on 31.90 and the two both finished on their dressage scores, several penalties ahead of third placed Audrey Pearce riding Amisfield Billy on a score of 40 penalties.
It has been a good year for Liam, racking up placings and wins with both Sandhills Invader and Mikado Rose, who won the EvA80 at CEC Sydney Eventing in September and now adding the top ISHE eventing class to his tally.
Lydia too has been in the wins lately, taking the CCN1* class at the Marcus Oldham Australian Interschools Championships last month.
