A second Quirindi Eventing CCI 2024

Quirindi Eventing CCI Horse Trials XC Videos

It’s going to be a busy weekend of competition at Quirindi Eventing CCI Horse Trials in the Hunter Valley, NSW with international short format classes held at CCI4*, 3* and 2* levels plus national Equestrian Australia classes at EvA80, EvA95 and CCN1* and Pony Club Sections. Whew!

Following from the usual long format competition earlier in the year, Quirindi Eventing is running a second international event this year with CCI classes instead of their usual CCN.

With plenty of competitors at all levels, some cross country will take place on Saturday with the EvA50/PC E Grade, EvA80/PC C Grade and PC F Grade while the rest of the classes head out on the Stuart Tinney and Darryl Burgess designed courses at Quirindi Racecourse on Sunday.

10 combinations are entered for the Boonoona Design CCI4*-S with locals Hazel Shannon and Willingapark Clifford coming off a CCN4* win at Sydney Eventing Autumn Classic and Olympian Shenae Lowings back from overseas. Shenae will be riding Chasing Great in the 4*, with her ‘main man’ (equine version), Bold Venture arriving home from Europe on Monday, and two in the CCI2*-S with Chupa Chup and Equimillion CCN1* winner last weekend, Kanmoreu while Shenae’s other ‘main man’ (human version) Sam Woods takes back the reins on Yiyi, who took second place with Shenae in Equimillion 1*.

Another overseas adventure has drawn to an end for Andrew Barnett who will be back competing in Australia with Oscar Park Deluge in the strongly contested Bundella Station CCI3*, which has 30 combinations ready to battle it out.

We’re filming all riders on cross country so keep an eye out for some cross country video snippets during the weekend, our interim updates on the website and a full report next week!
