South Australian riders were out in force at Camperdown Horse Trials this weekend and not only were they winners and placegetters but they also paid a personal tribute to Gill Rolton during the event
Despite the prospect of bad weather, which luckily turned out to be nowhere as bad as forecast, they travelled more than eight hours to the event held in the picturesque Lakes & Craters area of Victoria at Camperdown. Many of them have been influenced or trained by Gill Rolton and, following her recent death after battling endometrial cancer, they decided to ride in her memory this weekend, sporting her bright orange, yellow and black colours
South Australia's Danni Hampton took over the lease on Kalinga Nora earlier this year and their partnership was sealed this weekend with a win in the EvA105, leading from start to finish with a final score of 39.6
