We’re heading up the highway to Sydney this week for the Sydney @ SIEC Spring competition where the Mid-Week November competition held on Wednesday 23rd will be hosting classes from EvA95 up to CNC3*.

Stuart Tinney, who will be just back from showing his latest Olympic medal to the many fans at Equitana in Melbourne, is the course designer for the CNC1*, 2* and 3* which should provide a good warm up for those heading to Wallaby Hill in December

Stuart will be riding Queen Mary in the Agnes Banks Equine Clinic CNC3*, Tim Boland is bringing GV Billy Elliott for a little refresher after a bit of a shock elimination in the CIC3* in Adelaide and we’ll be keeping an eye on Emma Bishop riding CP Issey Miyake. They are making a step up to 3* level after an impressive record of runs at 1* and 2* level; since April this year they have won four CIC2* starts and show all the potential to keep going

We loved Rachel Lee’s Amigo at Equitana this week (even though he was eliminated!) and they are competing in the Agnes Banks Equine Clinic CNC2* as is Charlie Brister on San Suki – the lovely horse brought on by Jessica Rae. The Australian International 3 Day Event CCI2* champion Andrew Barnett is also competing in this class with Tiraumea Coachman, previously ridden by Madeline Simpson

Natalie Blundell’s very pretty and very capable palomino Riverside Princess is stepping up to 1* level here and, fresh from an Andrew Hoy clinic, Natalie will be primed for some action but the one to watch will be the young Macy Reen who showed all the professionals how to do it when she won the Coprice CIC* class on her dressage score riding Roskymar Prince Noreah at Goulburn in October

And of course we’ll be following the EvA 95 and 105 classes too to bring you reports, photos and XC Videos from the event so stay tuned ...............

Stuart Tinney will be just returned from Equitana (have you felt the weight of those of those medals? Goodness me, they’re heavy, especially the gold one!)
