Tanya Schmidt and her 14-year-old gelding Laurentino lead the Motorama Group CCI4*-S at the Motorama Toyota Tamborine One Day Event in Queensland after dressage and show jumping.
Tanya scored 36.7 to be in equal first place with Mattea Davidson riding APH Charlie Brown after the dressage and both combinations jumped clear on the large all-weather surface at Kelecyn. But Mattea added 1.6 time penalties, leaving her in second place on a score of 38.3 heading into tomorrow’s cross country.

Laura Wallace riding Van Heck is currently in third place on 39.2 after a clear show jumping round but also with time penalties.
Like Tanya, Andrew Cooper competed at Sydney International last weekend but his 4* horses are now having a rest after having some good results there. However, he does lead the West Vets Animal Hospital CCI3* on board Pepper Jack, who won the CCN1* here last February and has taken a couple of 2* wins since then.
Brooke Dougall and My Locky
Andrew was second after the dressage on 33.1 but, when the dressage leaders Luke Harmer and Belcam Canada retired during the show jumping, Andrew moved into the lead with a clear round. He doesn’t have much up his sleeve for tomorrow with Brooke Dougall riding My Locky in second place (33.6) and Gemma O’Leary in third (35)
Andrew also leads the All Horses Veterinary Service CCI2*-S on board his wife’s seven-year-old gelding Cil Dara Dexter on 33.1
