It seems amazing that two CCI4* events will have taken place in Australia by the middle of February but, following the ‘pop up’ Equestrian Victoria Summer Horse Trials near Melbourne in January, it is now time for some action much further north in Queensland
The Motorama CCI One Day presented by the Tamborine Equestrian Group is taking place on 18th and 19th February with CCI short format classes running at 2*, 3* and 4* levels plus a CCN1*-S and national classes from EvQ65 to EvA95
The Motorama CCI4* competitors will be the first in the dressage arenas on Saturday morning with Andrew Cooper riding Hey Arnold kicking off proceedings and, as at the Queensland International 3 Day Event 2022, Andrew will be busy with four of the seven horses in the class
Five competitors will be taking part in the Cushavon Park CCI3*-S and 12 combinations in the All Horses Veterinary Services CCI2*-S
All dressage and show jumping will be taking place on Saturday and all cross country on Sunday at Kelecyn near Tamborine. While Melbourne turned on some unusually cool weather for the Summer Horse Trials recently, it is going to be quite a bit warmer in Tamborine, which is located near Brisbane, home of 2032 Olympic Games, with 30 degrees forecast for both days
