An Eventful Life filmed all competitors on cross country at Tamborine CCN ODE – order or view videos here
Andrew Cooper was once again the last man standing as the only competitor in the CCI4*-S at the National Luxury Homes CCN One Day Event at Tamborine Equestrian Group on 21st and 22nd October 2023. Riding Hey Arnold, Andrew obviously won this class, but he had a bit more of a fight on his hands to take the Technyflex CCN2*
Stephanie Commens riding Belcam CD led the class after Saturday’s dressage and showjumping but Andrew swooped in on cross country, producing a double clear round on the seven-year-old gelding Ocean Eight. Andrew moved up from ninth after dressage, to finish on that score of 34.8 with James Ferrier riding Sidestep also benefitting from a fast cross country ride with just 1.6 time penalties to take second place (36.5). Georgia Rhode riding Sweet Couture took third and the overnight leader Stephanie had to settle for fourth.
Just two combinations contested the Motorama CCN3* with Mattea Davidson riding Capriati D coming out on top and Amilia Schooley riding Sandhills Stella taking second.
Lily Mee had the honour of being just one of two class winners to take the top spot on a sub-30 finishing score, winning the Technyflex CCN1* on board Hawkesbay Bentley, finishing on their dressage score of 27.9. The other winner to achieve that feat was Amelia Bobyreff riding Mini Mouse, taking the EvA80 U21 on their dressage score of 29.8.
That wraps up the eventing competitions for this year hosted by the Tamborine Group at Kelecyn Equestrian – we’ll see you all again next year! In the meantime, you can order your cross country videos here (or watch your favourite riders) from any of the TEG events or eventing competitions around the world and keep yourself amused for hours during the Christmas break!
