Tamworth International Eventing in NSW, Australia is the latest casualty of Covid-19
The Tamworth International Eventing CCN which was to run on 17th & 18th July has been cancelled due to the latest outbreaks of Covid in and around Sydney. Although the event, held at the Australian Equestrian and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) in Tamworth is located in northern NSW and is more than four hours north of Sydney, organisers have decided to postpone to a later date
“The uncertainty of the latest COVID 19 outbreak in NSW where daily numbers of infections are still increasing with the potential for lockdowns to continue affecting the financial viability to run our event as well as the safety of our riders, supporters, volunteers and officials has been an influencing factor in the decision to postpone”
“We know this is disappointing, we hope you understand that this is a necessary step to help keep each other safe as well as ensuring that we have the financial capability to run events in the future. We have been in discussions with AELEC about the suitability of dates later in the year”
