After the first day of competition at Denman Horse Trials in NSW, there will be plenty of riders gathered around the annual bonfire where a big screen is showing the cross country from Aachen, there is pizza galore and Two Rivers Winery hosting the wine bar. Sounds like the perfect spot to celebrate, or commiserate, after today’s results and among those will be the Marsh Carney Saddlery CCN1* class leaders, junior rider Lydia Proctor riding Sandhills Style with the only sub-30 score of the class on 27.
Lydia leads ahead of another junior rider, Skye McCullough riding Rockstar Rocky (31.3) and Blair Richardson on board VH Victor (31.3) and junior riders also dominate the Tozer Air Conditioning & Electrical EvA95 Section B with Jesper Barrett riding Ballyhoo currently in first place (29) while Laura Scott riding Magic Wolf leads the Tozer Air Conditioning & Electrical EvA95 Section A.
The Britt Grovenor Photography sponsored EvA80 sections are led by Ellen McCourt riding Crescendo R (on a very good score of 22.8), Candace Palmer riding CP Nevada, Emma Bickley on Mr Roget That and Zara Villacorte riding Celtic Frolic.
The EvA50 and EvA65 classes completed both dressage and showjumping today while the rest of the classes will showjump tomorrow as well as all classes heading out on cross country.
