Victoria Park / Barrambin will be the temporary venue for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games for the eventing cross country and BMX Freestyle events. But the plan for the Victoria Park Parklands is that it also is transformed into a natural retreat, an urban park for adventure, and a place of discovery and reconnection for everyone in the centre of Brisbane.
Construction will commence in 2023 and the Brisbane City Council is inviting feedback on the Draft Master Plan to help shape this 64-hectares of inner-city greenspace into a uniquely Brisbane destination.
Although the construction of the cross country course is still a long way off, it’s interesting to see where it will be located and get a glimpse of future plans for the Parklands where Olympic horses will be galloping in 2032 and thousands of spectators will gather to watch.
