Love horse riding, wine, beautiful scenery and good company? Then saddle up for the ultimate winery experience at Petaluma in the Adelaide Hills. Take a guided trail ride through the vineyards of the Petaluma Estate organised by a very special host – Olympic silver medallist, Megan Jones.
Megan and her husband James, who live locally at nearby Hallmark Farm in Woodside, have joined forces with the celebrated South Australian winery Petaluma to provide trail riding experiences combined with wine tasting in the Adelaide Hills.
The Hallmark Farm team will ensure your comfort and safety, fitting helmets and providing a briefing as you get to know your horse, before a 45-minute guided trail ride around the winery grounds. During your tour, you’ll learn more about the history and location at Petaluma while taking in the beautiful scenery and views on horseback.
On your return you’ll experience a curated wine tasting of Petaluma and Croser wines at the Cellar Door, taking your tipple on the spectacular deck in the warmer months or indoors by the fire in the cooler months.
The guided horseback tours last approximately one hour (including briefing and helmet fitting) followed by a wine tasting session of 45 minutes. Take part in a group tour/tasting for $180 per person or opt for a Private Tour at $275 per person (perfect as a romantic experience for two).
There is also a VIP option with a private guided trail ride hosted by Megan Jones followed by a private wine lunch with Megan in Petaluma’s luxurious The Glass Room.
If you want to spend more time in the area and enjoy all that the Adelaide Hills area has to offer, Hallmark Farm also offers some great B&B options.
