REC Equine Specialists are once again the title sponsor of the 2022 Sydney Eventing Summer Classic, taking place on 26th & 27th February at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre
In 2021 the REC Equine Specialist Centre (formerly the Randwick Equine Centre) moved to a purpose designed and built hospital on Wallgrove Road, Horsley Park - just off the M7 and very close to the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.
The purely equine practice services a wide range of horses, from miniature ponies to elite Thoroughbred racehorses and, although they have a proud history and extensive experience servicing the Thoroughbred racing industry, a wide range of breeds and conditions are treated on a daily basis.
The state-of-the-art hospital facilities include multiple modern surgeries, laser surgery, digital radiology, ultrasound, shock wave therapy, video-endoscopy (airway and stomach) and nuclear scintigraphy.
The practice has a committed philosophy of maintaining state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment, to provide the very best care that veterinary medicine can offer. The partners and associates include specialists in the fields of sports medicine, surgery, anaesthesia and medicine, with the practice acting as a referral clinic for many practices both in NSW and interstate. The practice is supported by a fully equipped laboratory.
Just before the 2021 event, we dropped by the new facility at REC Equine Specialist Centre and met CEO Christopher Lim, who told us more about this impressive Centre which had just opened (and yes, the huge CT Scanner is now in place!)
