Stuart rides Viennese at Equestriad Hunter Trials 2023
Welcome to a much overdue newsletter 
We are excited to finally bring you all some news! It’s been a quiet summer here at the property, waiting for events to start but we now have a concrete calendar to set us on our way for 2023 (not that we did not welcome the calm!)
The new season also brings with it a new team of horses and we had forgotten all the fun and games that comes with the young ones. We have added three new faces in a lovely grey named 'Cat Fish', who is such a cool dude, a very spritely bay 'Carruso' and an experienced 1* horse from New Zealand named 'PHS Hilton' who has been beautifully brought on by Greer Caddigan (thank you).
The season started with a fun outing to Wallaby Hill, always a great day and much appreciated Alex, Derek, and the team. We took Viennese (Vinnie) and Cat Fish (Cat or Fishy as Gemma likes to call him!). Certainly, Vinnie is just looking so strong, we can’t wait to see him competing at 3* and 4* level this year.

Cat on the other hand was a bit shell shocked! There were a few steering issues, some over expressive jumps, but he handled himself like a true gentleman.
We are also very grateful to the Organising Committee of Equestriad at Camden for closing off all the paper work in time for their first Hunter Trails of the season. With 95% of their jumps lost in the 2022 floods it was a pretty extraordinary mission to get this off the ground, good job guys!

Airtime was very much the theme for all of our horses with the youngsters making themselves very noticeable in all their efforts!! It was exciting outside, getting to and in the ring!
Now that we have a team of horses at differing levels, we have a variety of events coming up. Vinnie will be heading into 3* with Stuart, Hilton in the 1* and shortly 2* with Gemma. Carruso will start at 1* with Stuart and Cat will be in the baby classes!

25th/26th March - Tamworth (TIE) with Vinnie, Carruso and Hilton.
8th/9th April- Equestriad at Camden with Vinnie, Carruso and Hilton.
