Equestrian Australia has announced the Australian Senior and Young Rider teams selected for the 2024 Oceania Championships to be held during the Land Rover Horse of the Year from 5th -10th March in New Zealand.
The Oceania Championships traditionally provide a regional opportunity for up-and-coming Australian combinations to get first-hand team experience but this year the focus was on Paris 2024, says EA High Performance Director Will Enzinger.
“With the Olympics just around the corner, there is a need to prioritise this exposure piece in line with our intended performance outcome in Paris. The 2024 Senior Oceania Team will, therefore, be selected with the mindset of exposure for less experienced combinations on their campaign to Paris.”
