Clarke Johnstone moved into the lead of the Auckland Council CCI4*-L at the Puhinui International 3 Day Event in New Zealand today when his Australian thoroughbred Aces High completed the Ewan Kellett designed cross country course with no penalties, finishing on his dressage score of 32.7. His second horse in this class, Deo Volente, is currently in fifth place after also completing the cross country without faults and Clarke has high hopes of clear show jumping rounds tomorrow
Clarke also leads the CCN1*-L on board Watermill Hadley while another Kiwi Olympian Jock Paget is on top of the CCI2*-L riding Bing Bong and Monica Oakley leads the CCI3*-L
