We thought you might to know that our ‘long shot’ for the Paris Olympics is no longer in reach, says Tinney Eventing in their latest update.
Double Olympic medallist, Stuart Tinney and his ride Viennese (Vinnie) have been preparing for The Melbourne International 3 Day Event CCI4*-L from June 7th -10th, a qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
“We were never under any illusion that this event may be our berth on the Eventing team, but stranger things have happened, in our 35 years of elite eventing!”
Viennese has sustained a paddock injury from which he will make a full recovery, however the preparation of fitness will be compromised.
“Vinnie is doing fine. Stuart too!” says Tinney Eventing
“We can’t thank our sponsors and owners enough for their continued support in this sometimes-brutal sport of accolades and disappointment. Our horses are always our priority, and we are grateful again to you all.
On a positive note, we have some amazing younger horses that will be out at Camden this weekend! Gemma is settled in the UK and her horse ‘Hilton’ flies out next Tuesday to join her.”
