International cross country course designer Pierre Michelet will be bringing his expertise and experience to Australia in March 2020 and adding some Young Horse judging to his usual repertoire
The course designer for Les Etoiles de Pau CCI5*, the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy and Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Pierre is also the course designer for the World Young Horse Championships and several other high profile events in France
His visit in mid-March will coincide with the Wandin International 3 Day Event which this year is hosting the Australian Eventing Championships on 14th & 15th March; Pierre will be spending some time at Wandin Park in the lead-up to the event and will be hosting a Course Designers workshop there
The following week he visits Werribee Park, the venue for the Melbourne International 3 Day Event which takes place in June each year, to spend time with Australian course designers Ewen Kellett and Mick Pineo
As course designer for the FEI WBFSH World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses at le Lion d’Angers, Pierre knows a thing or two about young eventing horses so it is apt that he will also be part of the judging panel at the Eventing Young Horse Championship at Dressage & Jumping With The Stars at Werribee Park on Thursday 19th March
