Emily Cammock and Impeccable
Emily Cammock may have just missed out on the win the Honda NZ CCI3* at Puhinui International 3 Day Event but she still went home with a winner’s rug from the class earlier in the day – the Veterinary Associates CCI1*
Emily and the aptly named Impeccable led from start to finish, adding just 0.8 time penalties in the cross country phase to finish in the top spot on a score of 44.2.
Aleisha Collett and Mi Focus
Aleisha Collett and Mi Focus, who won this class in 2015 and have come back into competition after a layoff due to injury to Mi Focus, moved into second place (47.7) thanks to double clear rounds on both cross country and show jumping day and Sarah Young on Equador MW took third place (49.70) as well as the Best Presented Award for freelance super groom Lydia Beales who also makes Clarke Johnstone's horses look so fab (if you want to be on the podium, you need Lydia to groom for you!)

But it was the little horse with the ‘small man syndrome’, Impeccable that came out on top and, although Emily would love to keep him, there will probably be plenty lining up to buy him now! Emily told us more about Impeccable
One of the reasons that Emily is selling Impeccable is to finance a new truck to meet the needs of her growing family. She was joined on the podium by the two latest additions who were enjoying mum’s success!
Another proud mum was Ingrid Herdon, mum of the CCI1* Junior winner Kate Herdson. Ingrid had picked up her ribbon earlier, having finished fourth in the New Zealand Horse & Pony CCN105 and she was on hand to video her daughter on the podium
Kate and her 12 year old warmblood gelding Eon produced the only clear round in the show jumping and finished on their dressage score of 45.3 with a strong lead over second placed Caroline Howell on Telestory on 62.1

“It’s really fun having mum competing too” says Kate “We help each other out in the warm-ups and grooming for each other so it’s really cool”

Local girl Kate is in her last year of Junior riders and has now achieved the double whammy by taking both the New Zealand CIC1* Junior title and the CCI1* in the same year
