An Eventful Life filmed all competitors on cross country at Sydney Eventing Spring Classic – find out more here
It isn’t often that you get three wins in one day but that’s exactly what happened to Christine Bates at the Sydney Eventing Spring Carnival at SIEC in September.
5* rider and coach Christine had three horses competing at differing stages of their careers.
Equus Hugo, a 10-year-old warmblood owned by the Horsley family who has been ridden by Christine for 12 months now, was the winner of the CCN3*. His next big event is the Sydney International 3 Day Event in November and will hopefully step up to 4* next year.
Bloomfield Findon won the CCN2* at his first attempt at this level, having won his last two 1* starts and the homebred six-year-old mare Statford Milano finished on her very impressive dressage score of 21.4 to win the EvA80 Open
It’s always great to watch experienced riders competing horses at all levels so sit back and enjoy two of those rides!
