Katja Weimann and BP Cosmopolitan have taken out the Exhibition Eventing at the Royal Melbourne Show. The combination placed second after dressage and produced a safe and tidy round of Jumping including clearing the Joker fence to take the win.

Weimann was pleased with her result “It’s a good fun event and it is great to get the horses out in this atmosphere, I am looking forward to competing in my first Equestrian Grand Final at Equitana” she said.
Simon Tainsh and Just De Mazana were the only other combination to go clear taking out second place. Weimann and Tainsh were the only riders to leave the Joker fence standing on a tough course.
Tesse Cook and Rimfire Don Pierre took out third position while Yona Lloyd & Sargent Crip rounded out the top four.
The event is a qualifier for the Equestrian Grand Final with the top four riders claiming a spot.
After two qualifying round the following riders have gained a spot in the final:

- Katja Weimann
- Simon Tainsh
- Tesse Cook
- Yona Lloyd
Equestrian Australia will also award 7 wildcard entries for the event including one to German Olympic Gold medallist Dirk Schrade. The Equestrian Grand Final will be held at Equitana on Thursday 20 November at the Melbourne Showgrounds.
