Will Enzinger is the new Equestrian Australia High Performance Director
Equestrian Australia has announced the appointment of Will Enzinger as its new High Performance Director from 1st March 2023, taking over from Chris Webb who will move into the role of High Performance Advisor
Will Enzinger, who has been the EA Deputy High Performance Director and Performance Pathways Manager since January 2020, has a strong background in High Performance, Sport Management and Strategic Planning, is a Level 3 Eventing Specialist Coach and competes in Eventing.
In more recent times he has been closely involved with the High Performance leadership and led the Australian teams at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, Denmark and Pratoni, Italy.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead the Equestrian Australia High performance team. We have some amazing riders, coaches, grooms and support teams across the sport. I am looking forward to working with them and our dedicated staff to deliver some great outcomes over the coming years” says Will, who is based in the Yarra Valley, Victoria
Chris Webb, who will now focus on working directly with the top Australian riders and their support teams in the funded Olympic and Paralympic disciplines, has overseen significant High Performance programme success including Olympic Silver and Bronze medals at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games
Australia has yet to qualify an eventing team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
