Terry Snow with Willingapark Clifford and Hazel Shannon at the 2019 Australian International 3 Day Event
Willinga Park, on the South Coast of New South Wales in Australia, will host its first ever eventing competition on 24th and 25th October 2020 with classes including a CCN1*-S, CCI2*-S, CCI3*-S and CCI4*-S
The equestrian park at Willinga Park, a facility owned by Australian businessman Terry Snow who is also the owner of Hazel Shannon’s 5* winning horse Willingapark Clifford and Willingapark Cooley (previously known as Cooley SRS, ridden by Oliver Townend), has been recognised through several architectural awards and offers established facilities, including 200 event stables, a covered arena, three outdoor arenas and a show jumping field
A new cross-country course is to be built, with the design of the CCI3*-S and CCI4*-S being undertaken by international course designer Mike Etherington-Smith. Mike will also mentor up and coming course designers, Jarryd Stanley and Yona Lloyd, both from Victoria, as part of the design process of the CCI2*-S and CCN1*-S
The event replaces Lynton Horse Trials which held its last event at Goulburn, NSW in October 2019 after 41 years of competition
