Well I just can’t believe it’s almost the end of March, and we are going to the first event in few days time.
We have a few people have joined our team. Cassie Heaslip just flew over all the way from QLD to be Dirk’s competition groom. She seems to be a bit shocked with the weather (I don’t blame her, coming from the QLD summer!), but she is taking her roll very well and I’m sure she will have lots of fun going to the big international competitions with Dirk.
The Thai rider, Mint Chavatanont now bases here and she is aiming to go to the Asian Games this year. I have actually met her before. She was staying at Ryan’s for a little while just before I was leaving Australia. And it happened to be that Cassie also was at Ryan’s doing some working experience just after me and Mint left the country. The world is seriously small…
And to just finish off dominating the German stable by Aussies, Jack Hayden and Jess Petherbridge from NSW. have just arrived and working with us now. It feels pretty good to say "G’day mate" instead of "Gut morgen"in the morning!
Now we have a stable built and the walking machine is on the way to be built. Dirk Shrade stable seems to be getting bigger and better in every way!
