Printemps at her last show with me
I cannot believe I’ve already been in Germany almost 2 years…and my time (and money) in Europe is running out very soon.
We were preparing and ready for the last minute team change call as the first reserve for the Asian Games, but we didn’t get the call, which is actually a good thing. Good luck to all my team mates.
As you probably all know, Dirk riding Hop and Skip had uncharacteristic moments in the cross country at WEG, but they still looked amazing out there. And congratulations to Germany for the team gold!
Our plan was always to leave our mare, Printemps here in Europe after the Games, so we fast forwarded the plan a bit, and found a lovely new home for her. It’s a bit sad for me to finish the partnership with her, but it’s nice to know she’ll have a good life in Germany.
I’d like to say big thank you to my owner Christine Doan, my bosses Dirk Schrade and Yoshi Oiwa, all the crew of the Team Schrade, my family and friends for the very warm support for my long time dream of competing in Europe, to make it happen and enjoyable.
I’ll be packing up and visit some friends in U.K. and catching up with my family in Japan. And then we’ll be moving back to Australia in late October or early November. So see you all in the Australian eventing scene soon!
